Havaş, one of the leading companies in aviation sector, carries special perishable cargos from Izmir and Ankara to Istanbul as part of its bonded cargo transportation service with its 'Reefer Truck' included to its warehouse fleet.
Being one of the most preferred brands in air cargo sector with its customer satisfaction oriented approach, Havaş included its reefer (refrigerated) truck to its equipment fleet operated in bonded cargo transportation. Reefer trucks enable the protection of the cold chain for perishable products including food, medicine, etc. during transportation in line with the international standards. Continuing its operations at the warehouses, of which the company increased their capacities by additional investments, and using the equipment compatible with the latest technologies, Havaş included another reefer truck to be used in bonded cargo transportation to its fleet. The company also included two reefer trucks to its ground handling services fleet last year, which was a first in the sector. With its new reefer truck, Havaş carries perishable bonded cargos from Izmir and Ankara to Istanbul Airport, and vice versa, to provide safe transportation service to its airline customers.

Perishable goods that require preservation of the cold chain have an important place in the sector. Therefore, we enhance our warehouse services through cold storage rooms at our warehouses which have been doubled in capacity as well as our reefer trucks included to our fleet. Last year, we included two reefer trucks to the equipment we use on the apron, which was a first in ground handling services sector in Turkey. Thus, we also added another reefer truck to our cargo transportation fleet for bonded cargo transportation services. With our new reefer truck and scheduled transportation services from Izmir and Ankara to Istanbul Airport, we will deliver perishable, bonded cargos to our airline customers".
Operating at its facility within Istanbul Airport over an approximately 14,000 square meter area, besides its warehouses at Izmir Adnan Menderes and Ankara Esenboğa airports, Havaş undertakes delivery and handling of import and export cargos by providing storage services to general cargos, valuable cargos, cargos containing dangerous goods and radioactive materials. Having reciprocal services between Istanbul-Izmir and Istanbul-Ankara every day as part of bonded cargo transportation, Havaş warehouses also consist of perishable cargo storage rooms. Cold storage rooms located at import and export sections include 95 square meter cold storage rooms with a temperature of +2/+8 C and 70 square meter cold storage rooms with a temperature of +15/+25 C, as well as 21 square meter cold storage rooms reaching a temperature up to -18 C. Furthermore, the company also has cold storage which can store 5 vehicles such as palettes, igloos, containers, etc. at the same time.
